Yunnan, China
Yunnan, literally translates into "the area south of the clouds", is
a place rich in social heritage and natural beauty. It is the most culturally
diversified region in China, with about 40 of the 56 ethnic groups in China
are represented in this southern province, where huge mountain ranges
kept the local traditions intact and distinct. It also forms the backdrop in
James Hilton's novel "Lost Horizon".
