The Asus thin and light notebook is now available for pre-order at ExcaliberPC and start shipping next month with priced at $579, called the Asus UL20FT (codename Asus UL20FT-A1). The new laptop is first appears in May 2010 and is a successor to the Asus UL20A notebook.
The Asus UL20FT is also spotted at Japan this week with the Celeron U3400 processor for price tag 59,800 yen, but the US version of Asus UL20FT is boasts the faster new 1.2GHz Intel core i3-330UM processor with Turbo boost technology. Actually, Asus UL20FT has quite similar size, OS, memory and hard drive with Asus UL20A but brings an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CULV processor.
Asus UL20FT notebook is packs a 12.1-inch display (glossy) with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel, Intel HD graphics, 2GB of DDR2 memory (up to 4GB), and 250GB hard drive. It has brings a 0.3 megapixel webcam, 3 USB ports, HDMI out, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 6-cell 4400mAh battery. The UL20FT comes pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
